Welcome to our website

Welcome to our website and to our four churches set in the rolling farmland of the Amber Valley in Derbyshire. The parishes of our four churches are a Mission and Ministry Area within the Diocese of Derby and the Church of England.

We believe we can live out our Christian faith by "working and playing together, with God, for people" - this is the motto of the Amber Churches. To learn more about us and our churches, have a look round our website - and we hope we will be able to greet you soon in person.

Our church services are beginning to start up again following the closure of churches for several months due to the Covid-19 virus. On each Sunday there will be a service at All Saints Church, Ashover, at 10.45 am when special safety measures will apply. Services at other churches will resume when possible.

If you would like to speak to a member of the ministry team, please see the contacts page.

Our Faith - Christianity

Maybe you have questions about what it means to be a Christian - what we believe, how a man called Jesus who died 2000 years ago can be saviour and a friend. Please click on this link to learn more about Christianity.

Our Lifeline - Prayer

A small group of church members pray regularly in confidence for special concerns and for the community; if you would like prayer for yourself or a situation, please telephone the Rector.

If you would like to see how Christians talk to God through prayer, or get hints on how to set about this, please click on this link.

Prayer of the Month

Taken from the blessing in the confirmation of election service for
Archbishop Stephen Geoffrey Cottrell as the 98th Archbishop of York

May the love of our good and generous God
guide and protect us all;
may the hope of the gospel sustain us
and bring us joy;
when we are lost or lonely,
when the road ahead seems hard,
or when the darkness gathers,
may the light and peace of Christ be ours;
and the blessing of Almighty God,
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
be among us and remain with us always.
