Welcome to our website
Welcome to our website and to our four churches set in the rolling farmland of the Amber Valley in Derbyshire. The parishes of our four churches lie within the Church of England Diocese of Derby.
We believe we can live out our Christian faith by "working and playing together, with God, for people" - this is the motto of the Amber Churches. To learn more about us and our churches, have a look round our website - and we hope we will be able to greet you soon in person.
There are now services in our churches again, please check the calendar (link in the righthand column). There were no services in churches from January to April but you will still be able to view past on-line services on our YouTube channel All Saints Ashover For Amber Churches.
Our Faith - Christianity
Maybe you have questions about what it means to be a Christian - what we believe, how a man called Jesus who died 2000 years ago can be saviour and a friend. Please click on this link to learn more about Christianity.
Our Aim - To Love our Neighbour
If you are in need of practical or emotional support, maybe we can help. Ashover Church has a team ready to listen to you. Love Your Neighbour
Our Lifeline - Prayer
A small group of church members pray regularly in confidence for special concerns and for the community; if you would like prayer for yourself or a situation, please telephone a member of the Ministry Team.
If you would like to see how Christians talk to God through prayer, or get hints on how to set about this, please click on this link.
Prayer of the Month
Dear Heavenly Father,
At this turn of the year when seasons change,
we pray for those in changing circumstances.
For those going to new schools and colleges,
For those starting new jobs or searching for them,
For those starting new lives in new countries.
We pray for safety, happiness, new opportunities and new friends.
Especially we ask that you stay close to those
who feel frightened, adrift or challenged by a new environment;
Send them your peace and keep us all wrapped in your love.
